I really enjoy the peace and quiet found in nature.
I also appreciate companies that connect with nature as well. That’s why I’m excited to partner with @CervezaPatagonia.US, for every case sold, they will donate 1 tree to be planted in partnership with the National Forest Foundation.

The beauty of Neuschwanstein Castle, an hour before sunset, and then again just after the sun went down.

Anyone remember those 3D puzzles that were popular in the 90s/2000s? Well, I was super into them and had lots of different ones but my favorite was this castle. It was just so intricate and beautiful. I remember the puzzle even had little lights you put inside it to make it even more realistic.
I think as I built that puzzle all those years ago I probably imagined what it would be like seeing this place in person, but I wonder if I thought I would ever get that chance. I wonder what little 12 year old me would think about having finally seen the full scale version of his castle.
I know it made 28 year old me’s experience that much more meaningful... it was more than a pretty place, or an Instagram photo… It was me living out that 12 year olds imagination some 16 years later..

play_circle_filled The cute town of Lavertezzo, Switzerland.
This was one of the last stops on our Europe trip, as we drove to the airport later that day.

Looking back at this place and the trip as a whole, it all feels like it went by so fast!
Which makes sense as we moved quickly from place to place, visiting 11 countries over the last 16 days. Yes, it was exhausting! but so so good at the same time.
The pace of this trip definitely isn’t for everyone, and I probably wouldn’t do it again the same way, but for us, having the goal to see as many different places as we could in 2 weeks, it was perfect. From the food, to the people, to the landscapes, it was all such a good experience. And now we know which places we connect with the most, and want to revisit soon.

I’ll put more about the itinerary and our experiences in each spot in a blog post this next week so stay tuned for that 😊.

It was a rainy day down in the valley so we took a lift up Santis, an 8200ft tall peak in Switzerland, and got above the clouds. At the summit, we watched the fog roll through the valleys for awhile and then spent a few hours exploring the different hiking routes from the summit. It was quite the change in conditions going from the rainy valley to the snowy summit, but the experience of standing above the clouds was something I’m thankful to have experienced.

From a rainy day in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland.
If you’ve been following me for any length of time then you know how much I love waterfalls… so you can imagine my excitement when I arrived in Lauterbrunnen in the rain, with waterfalls flowing in every direction.
As soon as we arrived, I couldn’t resist running outside in the rain and taking in the beautiful town and valley. My time in Lauterbrunnen was so short, but was long enough to fall in love with this place, knowing I’ll be back at some point..

I love getting to the summit and taking in the views for the first time, it’s always a nice reward for the work it took to get to the top.
For extra motivation to reach the top, bring some @CervezaPatagonia.US to enjoy on the summit 👌

I had seen countless photos of this village here on Instagram so when our roadtrip route went near it, I knew I had to see it for myself. It’s always interesting to see how places compare in real life to the expectations I have for them from social media.
I imagined a bustling little town with other tourists all around, but when I arrived on a rainy afternoon I found a quiet little town, mostly empty, except for a handful of other tourists meandering through the streets.
Perhaps it was the time of year or the weather, but the silence was part eerie as the fog danced across the lake, and part peaceful as I took in this view of the village..

After a busy few days of hiking and traveling, I told @CalebSprong that we would do a drive up spot for sunrise and there wouldn’t be any hiking in the morning. But when we arrived at our sunrise location and found ourselves under a blanket of clouds, we had to change plans, and a lazy morning turned into a quick hike and several hundred feet of gain up a nearby trail to get above the fog layer. It was more exercise than either of us wanted to do after a short night of sleep but we couldn’t resist the reward of standing over a sea of fog in the Dolomites. ☁️☁️⛰☁️☁️🚶🏼‍♂️ @EddieBauer #WhyIHike #LiveYourAdventure #EBContributor.

Oh Italy 😍🇮🇹 There are lots of little roadside churches here, but I think this one is definitely my favorite 😊.

Our Europe trip continued east yesterday as we picked up a rental car in Milan and headed for northern Italy. We stayed the night last night on the shore of this lake, ate pizza and gelato, and rested up for what will be a busy next week exploring the Dolomites and Alps.
There are certain places I visit that I know I’ll keep coming back to… this region in Italy is definitely one of those places 😊🇮🇹🍕🍦.

Sharing experiences with friends makes them that much better.
So I’m happy to partner with @CervezaPatagonia.US as they launch in the US and encourage people to get outside and enjoy time in nature with friends.
