One of the natural wonders in Iceland, a volcanic crater located in a middle of a lava field. It’s great views, standing at the top of it 💁🏼♀️ #Iceland ...
Top-down Tuesday, as always 😉🚁🌊 ...
Education has been everything to us. I can’t tell you how many opportunities have come from exposure to powerful ideas. But this isn’t the story for so many out there.
1,410 hours of learning. Access to 10,000 library books. 750 school meals. 235 hours on the playground. This is what one year of school looks like for a child in Nepal. @sherpaadventuregear and @kleankanteen are on an incredible mission to send one child to school for a year, and that’s something we can get behind! Watch our story highlight from today to learn how you can leave a mark, and literally change the life of a child forever. - K&K ...
✨Technique Tip Tuesday - Split Fabric Struggles
We've all been there, you're in the middle of a skill and you can't seem to find the center of the dang fabric no matter how hard you try! It's the worst during a performance... a few seconds go by of split fabric struggle, still, no luck finding the center, you panic and your only choice is to skip the skill entirely or you'll be 30 seconds behind your music!
By thinking ahead and being crafty with your transitions you can eliminate potential moments of struggle. I can't promise it will never happen again, but if you apply the tips below but you will definitely lessen your chances. Remember, the fabric has a mind of its own sometimes! •
🔹Solution #1 - Begin by climbing with the fabrics already separate. Easy peasy solution! •
🔹Solution #2 - Incorporate split-finger climbing. Place your index finger through the center, keep that same hand on top as you climb. Voilà! The separation is already there when you need it! This works well for Classic Climb & Russian Climb but it won't work for straddle inversion climbs that begin with the fabrics together. •
🔹Solution #3 - Avoid looking right in front you to try and find the separation. Looking up and reaching up will make it much easier to locate! •
🔹Solution #4 - Try not to become frantic. The more you stress out, the quicker you will fatigue. Take a deep breath, give your grip a quick break by hooking your elbows around the fabric and give it another go. •
P.S. Attaching your silk to a rescue 8 versus to a carabiner directly can also help. The rescue 8 keeps the fabric more separate, especially at the top! ✔️There you have it! We'd love to see your split fabric victories!
