#Day14 on this #soberAF journey of mine. Here I am, drinking an almond milk latte, through a bamboo straw, wearing an on point slogan T-shirt. Thing is they genuinely say a lot about me.
1. I’m in the #coffee agrees with me camp, and have found it acts as a mild anti depressant (potentially linked to #ADHD but that’s another story). I’ve had three detoxes from coffee in the last five years and have ended up feeling really blue as a result. I know tons of people for whom coffee triggers anxiety and in some cases depression. However when you look into the health benefits of it, it’s alleged to work in reverse for some, and that’s me. For all my troubles and faults, I’m actually not an #anxious person.
2. I care deeply about the environment and #climatecrisis With three children to consider, I want them to grow up and enjoy their lives. Bamboo straws, reusable cups and bottles, saying no to the endless extra plastic that’s foisted upon us every time we leave our houses. They symbolise a tiny bit of hope.
3. I’m not a well behaved woman. Never have been, never will be. Plain and simple. In my bio you’ll see a link to my autobiographical self-help book. It tells the story of how my dysfunctional childhood led to a self-sabotaging lost decade, through mental breakdowns and eventual rock bottom. In bite sized chunks, likened to having a cuppa with a friend, I explain all the things I did to turn my life around before having my children. Everyone has a story to tell, this is mine. I’ve owned it and I will never be ashamed of it. 💚
