Happy anniversary to me! Today, a few years ago, I started working on this story. It began as a simple idea, and then turned into a scene. I carried that with me for two weeks until I thought the only way for it to leave my head was to write it out. Well. One scene turned into another and next thing i know, I've got a full fledged story on my hands. I really can't thank you all enough for the support and (for those who have told me they're waiting) patience as I keep working to make this the best it can be. Here's to all of you. My gratitude is limitless.
_ The steam trickled past my feet, the sound of the water pooling around us. I watched her as she tested that bow, working on her aim. Thane stood behind me, and I could tell he was impressed with her shooting.
_ "It was good luck that you found us," his deep voice spoke low, so not too break her focus.
_ "No." I turned to look at him, a hand on my dagger, watching the shadows nearby. "It wasn't. The only difference between good luck and bad luck is preparation." I turned away even as the thunk of her arrows hit the tree.
_ They had no idea what was coming they needed to prepare for. But I did. (Daemon, Storm of Thieves, part three)
