It has come to my notice about some unfortunate trolling about Nepali celebrity transgender model, Miss Anjali Lama and myself, Mishu Shrestha, Nepali designer for our participation at the Cannes Film Festival 2018. Yes, I proudly declare, Miss Lama represented Nepal and not India as a response to Ms. Rakshya Rimal who wrongly stated that Miss Lama represented another country and it is absolutely false. It is a proud moment for Nepal and every Nepali for Ms. Priyanka Karki, celebrity Nepali actress, to be representing Nepal on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2019, however, just to clarify and remind everyone, we three are from different backgrounds with different professions hence we cannot be compared, also no matter who participates, we need to stand up for once and feel proud that our country is represented at the most celebrated occasion.
Yes, last year we did not make a lot of noise; we wanted our work to speak for itself, I have shared a link for all to view, please be reminded, photos and videos speak for themselves. I would also like to point out that it was specifically mentioned that the FIRST FEMALE NEPALESE DESIGNER & FIRST NEPALESE CELEBRITY TRANSGENDER MODEL PARTICIPATED AT THE SEVEN CONTINENTS OF FASHION SHOW IN INTER CONTINENTAL CARLTON HOTEL, CANNES & WALKED ON THE RED CARPET OF A GRAND PREMIER OF FRENCE MOVIE ”LES FILLES DU SOLEIL D’ EVA HUSSON” TOGETHER. I also take this opportunity to wish loads of success and big congratulations @priyanka.karki ; making Nepal Proud🙏 @anjalilama_official#mishus#mishusdesigns#anjalilama#nepali#transgendermodel#nepal -#cannes2018#officialnepalibeauty#nepalmorethanmountains ...
