Carl Jung was a psychologist who also used astrology to help identify archetypes of people. He has said that he looked up the charts of all his patients before giving therapy to understand their individual archetype more. He also worked with Isabel Briggs to create the Myers Briggs personality test. I waver between INFP/INFJ, but if i have to turn on the extrovert charm, i will! Introverts are always given a bad wrap and told they are "shy" or need to "speak up" or learn to socialize more and put themselves out there. Earth signs and water signs are generally the more introverted signs, but every person has the energy of all the signs and elements within in their chart- where they might be introverted in one area and a chatter box in another. There is a misconception about introverts, they're not all shy- they just get over stimulated quicker than extroverts and need to recharge. They also have the ability to stimulate and entertain themselves with ideas and thoughts of their own. While being extroverted is often viewed as the favorable trait, they get a bad wrap for being flakey or emotionally unavailable- also not true! Extroverts can be very loyal and intuitive people.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you taken the Myers Briggs test? The link is in my bio to take the test for yourself and see where you fall on the scale! What did you get when you took this test? Does it relate to your birth chart in any way? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While this test is fun to take and can inform you about certain inclinations about yourself- know that you are the ultimate master of your psyche and personality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of by Visithra Manikam
S.L.A.M is a new division of events here at APW Bangsar - providing local Malaysian artists a platform to showcase their work to the public. By creating this platform, we hope to encourage the art scene, allowing it to grow and flourish. Once a month for the year of 2019, we will be hosting an exhibition of a different Malaysian artist.
SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF:
Sweet Dreams are made of this was a song by British duo band Eurythmics and one of the biggest hits of the 80s. The song talks about how humans are perpetually seeking to make sense of their lives and how their aspirations either takes advantage of someone or leads them to be taken advantage of. “Travelling the world and seven seas, everybody is looking for something.” Similarly, this exhibition looks into different aspects of human behaviour, death, life, conscious and the subconscious mind. I explore eastern symbolism and phycology and find parallels in Carl Jung’s analysis of psychology.
The hero myth allows man to articulately focus and direct his will-to-power and will-to-meaning towards the 'highest' ideal as he conceptualizes that highest ideal.. To become someone worth being, but that only comes at a great cost and great suffering. .
Therefore, very few achieve this and enter the 'eye' of the needle as so... where solitude is an immediate and pressing demand. You cannot be a true individual aiming towards his highest ideal if you are un-guardingly mesh yourself by those whose thought-processes are dull, bland and uninspiring. .
You need no one but yourself - to access deeper layers of your psyche [which the ordinary man fears and has not the courage to confront] - you almost need to separate yourself from the crowd.. and enter the abyss. .
But there is never any guarantees of the hero surviving.. yet if he does nothing and shrinks away from the subtle signals of call-to-action of the fabric of his being - then he has just revealed himself as a coward. .
So.. when the initiation process of the hero begins.. he must know that there is no turning back the moment he steps foot into the underground. .
But, if he is that daring and courageous to risk his life and peace of mind.. the reward is that of a psyche that has become a self-sustaining mechanism as opposed to something one is at the mere whims and mercy of. He has become an anomalous figure that overcomes the inferior man that he once was by imposing an image in his psyche of the 'greater-man'. .
A must-listen for every brand marketer and account planner. This lecture very succinctly compares schools of psychotherapy, so it's like getting to know the origins of archetypal theory that we use often in brand identity / personality work.
