Let me share with you a personal story today ⛰⠀
Every step of my journey has felt like a struggle. There has been an endless amount of trudging through the mud trying to find my way into the light. I have gotten in my own way more times that I would ever want to admit, I've been hit hard by life in a relentless fashion, and at times felt so much pressure it was like my soul was wanting to crack. I've quit. I've failed. I've lost my way. I've done it all. ⠀
But, and this is important, I've never stopped trying. No matter how far I've drifted away from what I needed to be doing, I always come back to it. I'm always willing to give it another go. Under no circumstances do I want you to think that I try something and nail it on the first try. That has never been the case and probably never will be. ⠀
I've had to fight and claw my way forward and push myself beyond what I thought I was ever capable of. You might be wondering to yourself, "Why? Why even bother?" Here's why - when you finally break through and get a win, it feels impossibly good. It's worth it. It makes all those failures disappear and all you are left with is the confidence and satisfaction that you never gave up. ⠀
So, for all those people who are in the mud trying to get out, I feel you. I understand. I'm right there with you in my own way. Keep moving forward. Keep investing in yourself. Keep charging on. You can do this. ⠀
No mud. No lotus. ⠀
It's been said that patience is the gift of the heavens because all there's is time. If you have the patience to see something all the way through at the onset, you most certainly will witness it in full bloom. Yet the challenge is to believe in something enough during the journey that you don't abandon it altogether. ⠀
As time goes on, I start to see journeys more as crossing a river than climbing a mountain. You stand there at the bank with a desire to cross, but no matter what you do there's always a slight hesitation before you step into the water. At times, if you stand there long enough, you may never put your foot in. When you finally do, there's a moment where you have to adjust to the temperature of the water flowing over your toes before you're willing to move on. ⠀
Each river is different. There may be slippery rocks, you may lose your footing from time to time, you may need to adjust your route a little bit upstream or downstream, and as life would have it, fall in and drench yourself. It can be an uncertain place. It can be scary at times. But something has always helped me when making moves going forward. ⠀
Keep your eyes on that other embankment. Remind yourself why you're crossing the river. Have faith that when you get to the other side, no matter how soaked you may be right now, you will have time to dry off and enjoy the sun. ⠀
The journeys we take can be scary. They can be full of uncertainty, fear, doubt and worry. That's natural. Anyone who tells you that you're never afraid is just trying to snow you over. Everyone feels fear. However, it's what you do with that fear that makes all the difference. That's what defines you in the end. So, knowing that, write a pretty awesome story. ⠀

Gentle reminder ⚡️ The things you fear
Fear you ...
ibn ul qayyim on the heart: ❤
The heart on it's journey to Allāh is like that of a bird. Love is it's head and fear and hope are its two wings. So, when the head and wings are secure, the bird flies well. When the bird's head is cut off, the bird will die. When either of the two wings are damaged, the bird will be vulnerable to every hunter and predator. And the pious predecessors have said the best of states is to balance between fear and hope and let love prevail over them. Love is the vehicle and hope and fear are its two drivers and Allāh will bring them to His blessings and generosity.

🚀London Fire Up 2019..it was amazing!!🚀 To meet so many likeminded individuals was incredible 👌
Thank you to all the public speakers that inspired me 👋
I was thinking today what was the biggest thing I took from this event? 🔥FEAR🔥
Fear affects us all... Limits our potential... Is nothing more than a state of mind
By exposing these fears and making ourselves vulnerable we can then control them.
On Saturday evening over 350 people fire walked over 1000 degree coals! 😮
By changing our mindset we can overcome hurdles that are placed in front of us. 🔥Below is a video of me doing the firewalk
Is fear and anxiety keeping you from stepping out of your comfort zone? 😱
I know it can seem tough, but there are so many benefits to doing it! I hope each and every one of you do something outside of your comfort zone today and realize that it's not all that bad! 🙏
