In an hour flat! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Didn’t get a pic doe, but it did happen 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But it was such an amazing experience and I did much better than I thought I would, which is always a good feeling 🙌🏽 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did and I am really looking forward to doing more new fitness related activities 🏃♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You never know if you’re going to like it or be really good at it 👀 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am so grateful that I am able to do activities like this and that I have the strength (mentally and physically) to succeed and accomplish my goals 🙌🏽 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is also such a good confidence booster and motivates me to try other things! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s easy to fall into a running rut by choosing the same go-to route each run. Mixing things up should add in some excitement, especially for longer runs over the weekend.

I can offically check ✔ ran in a 10k off my list 😋
At the beginning of the summer Jack asked me if I would run a 10k with him & I happily agreed.
Scroll to the the last photo to see a pic after my very first 1.5 mile run at the end of May.
Flash forward to today 👉 I ran the 10k in one hour and 8 minutes. It was a really fun summer for me to give myself a new challenge & to push myself to try something different. Change and discomfort can be well. . . Uncomfortable.
But you need it.
It's what makes you the best version of yourself.
It's recognizing that you are way more capable then you let yourself believe.
So I invite you to try something new this week.
If you're usually a yoga person 👉 try lifting some weights
If you're a runner 👉 try doing some HIIT

Completed my first 10K race! •
For 20 years, I hated running because it used to hurt a lot. My friend started running last year & saw great results in her physique, and I was inspired to challenge myself. I researched, read & watched the plethora of info available from people, books & the internet, and continued training & challenging myself for the past 4 months. I saw significant changes in my ability, fitness level, and my lack of pain when I run now.
Today felt like a huge accomplishment because I went from hating running, to enjoying its beauty and technicality. I was hoping to run 10K in under an hour, but I think I did pretty well for my first time, and it was pretty awesome to finish & feel that “runner’s high.” •
Real effort always pays off in the end, and friendship is the best fuel for continuing any challenge. •
Thank you to my wonderful friends! Let’s continue challenging together. And thank you to my amazing wife for supporting me each day, by buying me really good quality shoes😁 and cheering me on each day. ...

Hari ini langit paginya keren banget (swipe left), #recehrunner udh berdiri di deket garis start, dan langsung ngeri sendiri, ngeliat tampang2 #proru nner di kanan kiri depan belakang..am I on the right place? 😅 .
Dan beneran, pas start, semua larinya pace pro 😱 sempet kebawa sekitar 500m sebelum sadar klo diri sekedar #recehrunner yg harus start dgn pace 8..untunglah bs steady sampe km 5, abis itu mulai semua kerasa berat, dr tas pinggang, lutut kanan, pinggul kanan..semua bilang untuk stop..paksa lari..jalan..lari..sempet ketemu aki2 yg steady lari di pace 7.25, dan nempel bentar..🤢 untunglah panitia #banguntjiptarun nyediain cukup banyak WS..walau sempet kosong antara km 4-8, overall, cukup dpt hydration. Finished dgn waktu sktr 1.24menitan kebaca di gate..#recehpace 😅 ternyata lari jauh di race itu beda dgn lari jauh sendiri ya..tetep harus banyak berlatih masalah konsistensi pace yg kita bisa, running form, flexibility lutut, pinggul, supaya ga kerasa sakit2 pas lari..mdh2an bs keep improving..msh ada 2 10k event lagi di jadwal sblm nekat nyoba #receh HM di april..💪💪💪
Thanks @banguntjiptasarana yg udh ngadain event ini..cukup lengkap feature racenya..ga ribet ngambil racepacknya..marshallsnya cukup banyak..medali juga unique..plus banyak foto booth di area start..nice..jerseynya juga bagus, comfy, dan designnya bikin #gembulrunner sedikit keliatan kurus 😅 happy 50th anniversary, hope the company growing well and be part of Indonesia's great development. When I was born the doctors said I'd never be a runner because my feet were crooked. My mom then would massage my feet putting them into place, but I always took that as a reason not to run or push myself. It became a self-fulfilling prophecy, but Soulcon has pushed me to get past that, and part of my mission is now to be able to keep up with my son, with campers and college students. I'm thankful my mom helped me when I was so young and I'm grateful that God has given me a body to train and serve Him with. Don't get me wrong, I love my weight training and will pick those over cardio in an instant.
