Recently i have been implementing the 5x5 StrongLifts workout which consists of these 5 compound workouts: Squats, Bench Press, Barbell Rows, Overhead Press, and Deadlifts. These exercises help burn a lot of fat while helping you build muscle at the same time because being compound they workout the entire body. The basis of 5x5 stronglifts:
3 workouts a week, 3 exercises a day at 5 sets of 5 reps every other day. Its simple and doesnt take a lot of time. Lift heavy at 5 sets of 5. I mix in my own stuff occasionally like abs, biceps, pullups, and other isolation exercises, but I always have the 5x5 stronglifts exercises at my base. They have a iphone app and a website, look them up! and I know i did 10 overhead presses in that set dont so dont jusge.. because Its okay to deviate switch things up sometimes. Find out what makes you comfortable and what works best for you!

Les admito que las ganas de llorar se hacen presente junto a la culpa y el arrepentimiento por no haberme cuidado como siempre lo hice. •
Luego recuerdo las palabras de Gandhi “El futuro depende de lo que hacemos en el presente”. Pude entender que esto es un proceso, que somos lo que comemos, así que, empecé unas clases de cocina saludable con la chef Fernanda Chacón @cookandmove y la verdad no puedo creer que se puede comer tan divino de una forma tan sana. Me siento motivada y feliz. •

It’s time to head back to basics with the food I eat. This year I’ve definitely taken an ‘if it fits in your mouth’ kind of approach, choosing foods that fit within my daily calories (and a lot of times they don’t as well 🤣) rather than making the best choices for me. .
Two and a half more weeks til I start the final push to reach my ultimate goal weight, and then it’s time to grow 🍠🍳🍖🍔🥙🍪 ...

I have never had strong glutes! My quads have always been super dense because of the sports I have played, but this glute story is different than many ☺️🍑 let me explain: .
During my junior/senior year of high school, I tore a tendon in my back in gymnastics (one of my fav sports). I had to sit out my whole senior year which I am still not over 💔 During physical therapy, I was told to focus on gaining muscle in my glutes and strengthening my core. My body was SO off balance with strong quads and weak glutes, which put massive amounts of pressure on my lower back. I was to the point where I could not be in a car for more than 15 minutes without having to move around, get out of the car or feel sick from excruciating pain... even as a 19 year old!! 🤕
Once I started my fitness journey, after I let myself go down the tubes another year after therapy, I realized how I needed to stabilize my body and strengthen what REALLY needed my help. I can actually say I drove down to Florida (twice) with no back pain because of the amount of muscle I have built💗🦄 🚙 Such a victory!
I weigh about 10 more pounds than I did in high school, but skinny does not always mean healthy! I was a binge drinker as well as a little clumsy noodle that sprained an ankle every other day 🤪 My physique has completely changed; NOT because of trends, sexualized random body parts or the want of others to care.... BUT for me, my health and my ability to keep two feet on the ground 🏃🏼♀️ If you want long term success, come from a better place than showing off to others or being ‘eye candy’. Trends won’t last, but inner strength will 👑 ...
