Something mysterious is going on the West Lake.
Something tranquil. Something ordinary, also remarkable.
It's when sunlight breaks out smoothly from the skyline over the calm lake at dawn.
🐉As said in well-known Chinese phrase 上有天堂，下有苏杭 which means “up above there is Paradise; down here there are Suzhou and Hangzhou”. The scenery of West Lake has always been praised by numerous Chinese poets and artists since ancient time✍️. One of the ten sights of the West Lake is Leifeng Pagoda🏯, located on Sunset Hill south of the Xihu Lake. Standing on the top of the pagoda, tourists can appreciate the nearby Jingci Temple, enjoy the landscapes of West Lake, and even see the city of Hangzhou from a distance. In 1924 Pagoda was burned by Japanese pirates🏴☠️ and was rebuilt in 2002. It contains sightseeing elevators and air conditioners. We took elevator to the last floor and after enjoying beautiful sunset went down by stairs🌇
The park nearby offers great scenery too. You can appreciate small Buddhist temples and traditional style roofs
