Last night’s shy strawberry moon peeking above the clouds just as the last rays of pink light lit up the peak of Mt. Rainier. Single exposure, shot alongside my father on Father’s Day! Single exposure at 225 mm, f/8, ISO 100, 1/10s
Tonight I went out to shoot the sunset but it was pretty disappointing. As I turned around to walk back to the car I saw the moon rising just on the horizon and couldn't believe how good it looked. This is me just experimenting with the play memories app. The only way I could've got this shot was by watching the live view on my phone and lining my hand up with the moon This was shot with a 135mm f2.8 Minolta lens with K&F lens adapter. Not bad for a lens from the 80's ...
ATHABASCA FALLS - Jasper, Alberta - Canada
Athabasca Falls is a waterfall in Jasper National Park on the upper Athabasca River, approximately 30 kilometres south of the townsite of Jasper, and just west of the Icefields Parkway. A powerful, picturesque waterfall, Athabasca Falls is known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge. Even on a cold morning in the fall, when river levels tend to be at their lowest, copious amounts of water flow over the falls. The river 'falls' over a layer of hard quartzite and through the softer limestone below carving the short gorge and a number of potholes.
