Throughout my fitness journey, I decided to never measure my waist and avoid the scale as much as possible. I knew they would be numbers I’d just obsess about. Instead, I worked hard and stayed patient (easier said than done). When I felt I was ready, I did the one thing that pushed me to start a healthy lifestyle in the first place- try on my clothes. The clothes that were too tight and didn’t fit, the pants that showed my muffin top, the shorts that showed my jiggly legs, the bras and shirts that exposed my back fat. I tried them all on. 8 months later. I’m not going to lie, I was terrified. And I even cried. But this time not out of disappointment, but out of pride and happiness. They ALL fit again. And even some, like the shorts in this photo, were too big on me! I wanted to share this moment during my process. I want other women, especially moms, to know you CAN do it. Your dream body goals ARE achievable. It’s not easy. It takes time, perseverance, dedication, and above all, self-love. It IS a lifestyle change. Let’s say you have decided to compete.. the next step is to pick the right coach for you.. and that’s where the trouble starts.. Many of intsagram famous coaches don’t have a clue  about dieting.. they will put you on a low carb (not a good thing if you ask me) and low calorie diet, hours of cardio.. and of course you will lose some weight, but is that weight only fat..? no.. with crash dieting you will lose the muscles that you have been building for years.. such diets are also dangerous because you will have a lot of cravings.. that leads to binge eating.. ❌female competitors lose their period (the worst case scenario because that’s the moment you should ask yourself of some stupid medal is more important than your health, because nobody guarantees that you will get when the diet is over)❌

COMO PARTO SI QUERO ENTRENAR? 
Esta debe ser una de las preguntas más frecuentes que recibo. Y aquí quiero resumirles lo difícil que puede llegar a ser esto: 
1️⃣ Necesitas la parte más esencial: GANAS! (muchas veces lo más difícil de lograr y mantener😰)
2️⃣ Asumir que los pasos que no diste en años, es difícil que lo avances en un par de meses (en términos de resultados). Así que hacerse la idea de que será un proceso lento y muchas veces doloroso es fundamental así evitamos la frustración 😪
3️⃣ También debemos considerar que tipo de entrenamiento vamos a realizar. Muchas personas se dejan influenciar por lo que está de moda, o por lo que Juanito le dijo que era más rápido, fácil e indoloro. Y esto dejamos de considerar nuestros gustos, resistencia, etc. Así q antes de partir con algún tipo de entrenamiento toma una clase de prueba, ve si te gusta y si serás capaz de hacer lo mismo por un largo tiempo. La idea es que sea un estilo de vida y no una moda ☝🏼
4️⃣ Especial cuidado me causa las personas que sin haber hecho ejercicio nunca en su vida deciden meterse a un gimnasio y su rutina se reduce a pasearse pensando en que máquina usar (si es que saben usarla) y perdiendo más tiempo en esta decisión que en el entrenamiento como tal 🤦🏽‍♀️
Lamentablemente en algunos Gym existe muy poca orientación con los alumnos nuevos, les hacen pautas all inclusive 10/4 considerando muy poco sus objetivos y mucho menos la técnica de los ejercicios. Resultado? Personas desmotivadas, que no logran lo que quieren o peor aún... lesionadas 😭
Lo sé! Suena a CATÁSTROFE! 🤯pero CALMA!!! ante esto les daré un par de claves cortas y fáciles. 
1️⃣ Fija TÚ objetivo a corto plazo, realista y propositivo. Por ej, ponerte los jeans que no te entraban el año pasado. Sin peso, sin talla, pero que sea TU mismo indicador. 
2️⃣ Elige un entreno que te haga sonreir, que termine y quedes cansado pero con energía. 
2️⃣ Organiza tu rutina, establece días para entrenar cada músculo y cuánto tiempo. Vas al gym con orden y objetivo. Y PREGUNTA! No ejecutes a tontas y locas. Cuida tu cuerpo! 🤗
