There is currently an epidemic of sick children, and it’s growing at a rapid pace. Currently, 54% of children suffer from a chronic illness and it’s on the rise. Every day on social media I see pictures of babies/toddlers at the doctor for various health issues. We have accepted ear infections/tubes, jaundice, asthma, eczema, food allergies, chronic colds, etc. as “normal.” Sadly, yes they are very common, but they are far from normal. I just want parents to know that it doesn’t have to be that way, and it all goes back to what you choose to put in your child’s body. Blake had a pretty rough start to his life and was bombarded with toxins/poison both inside the womb and after he was born (luckily we “woke up” before he was 4 months old). As a baby, he had jaundice and chronic constipation - both signs of a sluggish liver. Thankfully, I had the @medicalmedium information to heal him. He drinks celery juice, the heavy metal detox smoothie, has never eaten the “no foods,” breastfed only, and thrives on a plant based diet. Besides sensory issues from the heavy metals in his system, (which we are currently working on) he is happy, healthy and thriving. He has never once been to the doctor for being sick. He has never taken any pharmaceuticals (minus the ones at birth & 2 months 😒) - no Tylenol, antibiotics, etc. He is almost 26 months and has only had 3 small colds in his lifetime - that’s it. (And yes, he has gone to both in-home and daycare centers his whole life so he is around germs constantly). I write this to show you that there is a better life waiting for you and your children, and it’s as simple as looking at EVERYTHING that goes inside of/on their body and making the best choices that you can. I pack his breakfast/lunch every day for daycare and make sure he is well nourished. Knowing which foods feed pathogens in the body, and removing them, is key to protecting them from a lifetime of chronic illness. Once you experience it yourself, you will do anything to protect your child. DM me if you would like some tips - I am more than happy to help! Cheers to healthy kids and changing their future - let’s turn that 54% around, and it starts with all of us today✨.

Compared to the cost of formula, families who breastfeed save a ton of money 💵 And this figure only accounts for formula, not bottles and other supplies, and not the increased illness and mortality rates caused by formula feeding.

So many families resist the cost of a qualified IBCLC, but even if you had 6 visits with me it wouldn’t cost you as much as formula (and six visits is rare!). Can you really even put a price tag on optimal health for your child? ⠀⠀.

Because of the incredible benefits of breast-feeding, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that breast milk continue to be part of an infant’s diet up until the age of 2 years. The American Academy of Pediatrics highly recommends exclusive breast feeding for the first six months of life and then continue for the first twelve months. Their recommendation is to help protect against infections and later health problems such as diabetes, obesity and asthma ✨
⠀⠀
Scientists do not fully understand all of the components contained in breast milk or the importance and function of many of them. Therefore, it is impossible for them to be able to duplicate it in any type of formula. Man is definitely not smarter than the Creator!! Everything an infant needs to grow healthy and strong is contained in its mother’s milk if the mother is consciously doing what she can to make sure she is getting the right building blocks through nutrition and healthy living. 💘💕.

So true! Western medicine treats birth like a disease and a big medical event that must be managed. Women have been birthing babies since the first human without hospitals and our species has thrived. It’s only now with medical advancements that Maternal & Infant Health is at risk....smdh🤨

Sometimes it's okay to treat your little kid like a big kid. Giving your your babe choices at bedtime will give her decision-making power, making her feel empowered. Try letting her choose her own PJs, own bedtime book, and even what to wear to school in the morning for a strong start to her day. This simple tip will go a long way in fending off bedtime tantrums.

Meet Baby 👶🏼 TomTom... my latest little @biokult_usa bandwagon babe (pun intended) ... who joined team @biokult_usa after hair styling 💇🏼‍♀️master and #celiac 🙅🏼‍♀️🥖Mommy @apeypeace used it with much success in the pursuit of recovering her own gut health. .
.
You see... After three little ones (Baby Thomas is the youngest of 3 brothers) ... one of whose life started out in the ICU with severe gastrointestinal issues (TomTom’s oldest brother Jonathon)... Mommy Pease is now well seasoned in all things gut game when it comes to keeping her little tyke’s health on the up and up.... a large component of which includes @biokult_usa ! .
.
So just what exactly did @biokult_usa infantis do for Baby TomTom and continue to do for babes the globe 🌍 over ? .
.
Try being clinically proven to do the following : .
👶🏼 Manage Colic 👶🏼Shorten hospital stays in infants admitted for gastroenteritis 👶🏼Reduce Diarrheal episodes 👶🏼Improve constipation 👶🏼Improve Eczema as measured and verified according to the SCORAD index scoring system. .
.
But that’s not all ... add to the mix ... infant specific bacterial strains, neural nourishing omega 3’s, prebiotic fiber to fuel a thriving microbiome, and Vitamin D for optimal immune support ... and this add to baba 🍼 powder formula couldn’t be a bigger win win ... for both babies (even fussy picky ones) and mammas alike ! .
.
Looking to join team @biokult_usa or bust yourself ... or have a mini me in need of help with any of the aforementioned ailments .. head on over to my bio and swipe left to swoop some up today ! .
.
As for sweet baby TomTom ... he may not be speaking yet ... but from the likes of this pic ... Mommy Pease won’t soon be forgetting to keep @biokult_usa coming on the regular ... less a little @biokult_usa babe be sure to drop a few extremely effective (and adorably photogenic) hints ... 🤣

It’s that time of year! Summer! Many of us feel very lucky to live in Colorado, where we boast 300 days of sunshine per year. However, Colorado also has the nation’s highest per-capita rate of skin cancer. Let’s talk about the best way to protect the skin of our little ones when enjoying the outdoors. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀️ Sun Safety 101 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👶 Keep babies under 6 months out of the direct sunlight. Utilize brimmed hats, light-weight UV-protective sun shirts, and shade (i.e. under an umbrella, tree, or stroller canopy). Avoid using sunscreen with this age group, with the exception of very small, exposed areas of skin that cannot be physically covered. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⏰ Limit your sun exposure between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm when UV rays are strongest. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧴Apply sunscreen BEFORE going outside (15-30 minutes or so). Sunscreen should be labeled “broad spectrum” to protect against both UVA and UVB rays. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💦 Look for sunscreen with SPF 30+ that is also water resistant. No sunscreen is water-proof! Make sure to reapply after swimming/sweating, every 2 hours, and as needed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✏️ If possible, avoid the sunscreen ingredient oxybenzone. Desirable ingredients include zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, especially for sun-sensitive areas. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

For today's #medicaltexttuesday we return to Doc Remick's 1926 obstetrics textbook. These illustrations demonstrate methods of vaginal breech delivery (that is, the baby is positioned feet- or buttocks-first, vs. the normal head-first presentation). Note the use of a fillet, or loop of cord, around the baby's limbs. This was totally confounding to me--but the author explains a few pages later that it is to be held loosely, and prevents the baby’s limbs from prolapsing into the birth canal (thankfully clarifying that it is not, in fact, standard practice to “lasso” an infant out of its mother 😂) #remickcollections #histmed #medicalhistory #medicalmuseum #medicaltextbook #medschool #medicalillustration #obstetrics #childbirth #womenshealth #maternalhealth #infanthealth #early20thcentury #bookstagram.

It's been a hard week. Yes I know it's Tuesday but I've just spent 2 hours at a 4 year olds birthday party! .
.
The chips served at the party looked so good it gave me an instant craving for curry and chips and so that is what I made instead of ordering a takeaway. 25 mins in total.
.
1 tsp of lazy chopped garlic in a heated pan with rapeseed oil.
1/2 jar of @Sainsburys own brand Massaman curry paste.
1/2 bag of @quorn_uk pieces.
1/2 bag of mixed frozen vegetables.
Veg stock cube.
1 tin of coconut milk. .
.
P.s.Why is it that the tastiest food is the hardest to make look nice in a photo. Honestly food photographers you are magic. .
