I finished this book last week, and just wanted to leave a short review here on this book.
As a postpartum nurse, I devour any-and-all birth-related books.
I do this for two reasons:
1. I LOVE all things birth! Seriously, this is one of my favorite topics! #nerd
2. By educating myself, I hope to better serve and provide evidence-based care to my patients.
This is the first birth book I’ve read that encompasses the mind, body, heart, AND soul during the birth experience. This is so important to me as a Catholic nurse! I truly believe this book has already impacted my work as a bedside nurse.
I now want to purchase a copy for everyone I know expecting! ✨✨#postpartumnurse#Catholic#evidencebasedbirth ...
One year ago today I went to my 38 week appointment. My doctor decided for my health and safety (and Blake’s) that inducement would be our best option as seizures were becoming very possible with my medical condition. I remember calling my mom telling her and making plans for Reed. Then I called Tyler who of course thought it was an immediate thing and rushed over from work. 😂 I then walked over to labor and delivery and started the process at noon. After a smooth labor and birth our sweet Blake Ray made his entrance to the world at 9:44 PM. He was the most peaceful baby and now the most wild child. We are so lucky to have such a happy healthy crazy boy. Happy first birthday, my babe. I love you more than you’ll ever know. ❤️
