![↠ A scene from a midsummer night’s dream ☼☽ …JK, a composited scene from my second attempt at capturing this shot. This shot had been a dream of mine ever since beginning to experiment with astrophotography about a year ago. During the first attempt, mother nature gifted me and a few friends with a beautiful sunset with hues of pink, orange and red smeared across the sky. The high humidity later gave way to a thick blanket of clouds which persisted through the milky way’s rising over the horizon. No shots were captured, but the adventure was still wonderful and well worth the time. Knowing there’d only be a few more chances to capture this alignment during a prime moon cycle this milky way season, I laced up my boots and hit the trail solo the following Thursday. Fueled by excitement and hope for clear skies, I made it up in record time.
