THE GOOD SON (1993)
Spotlight: Elijah Wood
“A young boy stays with his aunt and uncle and befriends his cousin, a boy of the same age who begins showing increasing signs of violent and psychopathic behavior.” While this is clearly Macaulay Culkin’s film, you can’t deny how well Elijah Wood played the role of Mark, the actual Good Son. With each new terror that Culkin’s character brings, Wood shows how fear and uncertainty slowly begins to creep up and taking over his character. We see a kid who’s never been exposed to heinous acts like these have to choose what to do and how to react when evil becomes his new brother. Excellent work for both child actors.
Tagline: In a quiet town...In a comfortable home...In a perfect body...Evil can be as close as someone you love.
