Finished! Now on to the 2 side panels making up the tryptic! ...
Here are a few pictures sent to me from others inspired by my work. Someone even painted this design on their studio floor!
It's hard to get upset when I see a beautiful piece like this inspired by my wave. I am flattered that so many people seem to resonate with this design. I was sent the quilted version in a message and the lady is connected to the group who just did a mosaic based on this in a town in Italy, on the Adriatic coast.
They have acknowledged me as the original artist and will mention me when they have their opening. That means a lot.
The ones who irritate me are the ones who copy my designs (and others work) and claim them as their own and take all the accolades never mentioning where they got the idea from. Copyright is a big topic right now.....I had a discussion with someone yesterday about this....If you put your work out on social media...someone, somewhere MAY copy it.....that's how it is.
So what can you do? Not a lot.
If you DON'T want it copied then I guess the only way is to not let anyone see it, don't post it on fb, Instagram etc.
And what's the point in that? If no one sees and appreciates your work. ***This is in no way encouraging copying. Just thinking out loud*** #mosaicwave#inspiration#mosaicsbringpeopletogether#worldwidefriends#mosaiclove#adelaideclasses#adelaideartist#adelaidesouthaustralia#lovemosaics#glassartist#tiles#mosaicsunset . #mosaics#itsasmallworld ...
And here I am in Rome walking towards the famous Piazza San Pietro when I stumbled on this fabulous store. Unfortunately, it was closed🙃. Trip advice ➡️ if you’re in Rome✈️ and you ♥️ 💗 💕 mosaic, this is a must stop😀👋
