Cell phone signal is both a blessing and a curse. Karissa and I play this delicate dance of needing it, and also wanting to get away from it whenever we’re on the road. It’s an addictive drug. You always feed the need as long as its there. If it’s no longer available, the need subsides, but the itch lingers. We’ve found out that on the third day without signal, you literally just stop giving effs. That feeling is incredible.
But due to the nature of our work, we very much need to have signal every few days; emails, scheduling, phone-in meetings, etc.
We recently installed the @weboost Drive Reach cell booster in hopes that it would stretch signal to where ever we camp so we don’t need to go into town to work.
In short, it helps. But don’t expect it to create wine from water. As long there’s some signal, it’ll amplify. If you have nothing, then it has nothing to boost.
Overall, we’ve had less dropped calls and steadier data. We like that.
