I thought this week was the perfect to give one of my favourite illustrations from last summer a little revamp; this little @fabicelollyuk ice lolly always makes me smile, but I when I went to reshare it I realised that my skills have improved a LOT since I first drew it so.. here is motivational Fab 2.0! 🙈
The reason I wanted to share this little motivational ice-cream is becuase even though soooo many of you have been incredible in getting involved and sharing body positivity and love, there were also some responses (espeically on stories) of people saying that they don’t love anything about their bodies which makes me sad.
You ARE fab, every single one of you and just because your body doesn’t fit a certain image that is marketed to us as what ‘beauty’ is, doesn’t mean that you are not beautiful.
Stop letting media make you believe you need to change yourself to love yourself... you just need to love yourself as you are because you are already so damn wonderful!!!! .
If you know someone who needs a bit of reminding of how fab they are, tag them in the comments of this post and let them know! .
Failures are the best way to learn from your mistakes and improve your performance. The first time you try something new, it may seem terrible. However with a lot of practice and by fine-tuning your approach, you get better and better. Tag someone who needs to see this. #practicemakesperfect#masters#success ...
Throughout the ancient world all the way up until this cultural moment, the temptation has always been to put faith in ourselves and be our own god.
Our sinful nature desires self-sufficiency, when God wants us to be dependent on Him. The problem with putting our faith in anything else than God is that we are putting faith in something that is temporary rather than eternal.
The self-confidence theology of our culture is inherently flawed. As much as we want to be doers and pave the way to the future we desire, we will ultimately fail at some point. It’s not a matter of if, but when.
The only way to stay upright through the peaks and valleys of life is when we put our faith in the one who never changes, our all-powerful, all-knowing, omnipresent Heavenly Father. @erwinmcmanus
