unique. each & every person’s body is special & beautiful in its own way. the moment we start comparing ourselves is the moment we start to lose that sense of beauty & individuality. as #nedawareness week comes to a close, remember to focus on yourself & what your body can do (like climb this rly cool mountain !!!) rather than focusing on how you’re too _____ compared to those around you. eating disorders tear you down & make you feel weak, but admitting you need help is the strongest thing you can do. i felt embarrassed and tried to hide my issues from the world. it wasn’t until i started going to therapy, though, that i started to embark on my long road to recovery. #comeasyouare because that’s exactly how you’re supposed to be😊 ...
Started 2019 by hiking up to the highest accessible point in Hong Kong 🌄
Looking back at 2018, I am grateful...
For the friends who stuck by during hard times and the ones who believed in me even when I didn’t.
For the ones who showed me another vision on life and helped me prioritize physical and mental health over societal expectations.
And finally, for the second chance that was given to my family.
In 2019, I hope...
That life will continue to find its way and for us to make sense of it eventually
That we all remember to pause and embrace the present moment.
And that hopefully, it will be another year of discovery, learning and growth. ...
Life’s toughest challenges offer the greatest perspectives. Cliche’ and cheesy? Yup. But absolutely true. Living life with the mindset that negative/challenging things happen FOR me and not TO me has resulted in my biggest breakthroughs. I invite you to ditch the victim mentality that has its stranglehold on our society and do the same.
What an EPIC hike this was yesterday. 2.5 hours, 260+ flights of stairs, and a 45degree +incline the whole time on our way to see the Big Buddha absolute gassed us and it was all worth it. By far the most physically demanding hike I’ve ever done. Stoked for more challenges and views like this on my journey. ...
The sun is finally back in Hk and on this beautiful day we went to get some fresh air in the mountain. We did the Lantau Trail reverse from Nong Ping to Pak Kung Au and I have found the views much prettier this way! The climb is steeper but the downhill is absolutely stunning! .
Sometimes the worst weather makes the most memorable trips. Last weekend I visited Lantau Island, an overlooked part of Hong Kong filled with beauty and peace. With only a day to spend here, I woke up at 4:30 to hike up the highest peak of Lantau. Even though it was raining the whole day, I was pot commited to climb that hill. It stopped raining the minute I got down.
